Either block-release at college studying towards an HNC in electrical engineering or working from home, designing, estimating and quoting new electrical connections for customers.
Yes. I had no prior experience within the electrical side of engineering.
Greatly, I have learnt a large amount in my first 6 months of employment.
Extremely well structured, SSE have been running this programme for a number of years and it really shows.
I am supported in every way. Whether that be with extra curricular support from my company with my college work, or help with tasks I complete for the actual job, my manager is always happy to help.
A lot. The tutors have been great and are happy to go over areas that I haven't completely understood. There is also many ways to access helpful materials on their website.
Learning about electrical principles at college has really helped me understand my role.
We are given lots of time to socialise when away from home at college and also provided with expenses to plan networking events.
Yes

Absolutely go for it, this is a great career for life, with a great salary when qualified.
