Planning of what aircraft parts needs to be worked that week and making sure we have the resources to do so.
Yes! Many skills have already been developed so early on in the apprenticeship. General life skills and skills that are necessary to pass the course.
The programme is really supportive and really help you to do your best and gain the best experience in the company.
The programme is really organised and mapped out for you, anything you may need to know will be told to you in a timely manner.
The support since joining the company from skills coaches, line managers and placement managers has been brilliant. They are very understanding that joining a large company not knowing anything can be hard work and they support you to help you understand.
They are hugely supportive and help you in any way they can.
Understanding why we do things on a daily in depth is really good to learn and develop on so we can use this every day.
Not as of yet... still settling into the company until I add extra responsibilities
Yes
Working for the company is a massive achievement in itself. The company is supportive at work.
The interview team are really friendly, so just be yourself. Don't be afraid to ask what BAE Systems can offer you with enrichment activities to get the most opportunities from the scheme ( though there are plenty of opportunities to know more about this in your induction ).
