I enjoy the training sessions and case studies. I enjoy the work based projects I am given. The company creates a culture of innovation, openness to change, diversity and inclusion. I am able to deliver beneficial business solutions whilst gaining academic knowledge.
The programme is well organised and, as a mature student, I was reintroduced into education and how to structure my work in an academic manner. There are many resources I can reach out to for support, both at AstraZeneca and at the university. The programme modules give me the opportunity to apply my learning to my working environment.
My employer provides a lot of resources and tools that I can utilise, including a contact for apprentices. I also have a sponsor/mentor who I can reach out to should I need some more specialist knowledge.
The training provider provides feedback on draft work. They are also available should we have specific questions regarding the course content.
I am able to use a lot of the models and methodology that I learn throughout the course when completing my work based tasks. I have learned new ways to approach my work and professional situations.
There are team events, book clubs, wellbeing sessions, training, sports and a gym based on site. There are also volunteering activities.
