I collect job cards every morning that have been written up by the lead engineer then go out and complete all these jobs around the power station with a trained technician.
yes, i have learned various new uses for tools, and improved upon my skills using them, and have also learned how the power station creates power
I enjoy my apprenticeship quite a lot as it allows me to get in involved at work for something bigger than myself
My programme is very well structured due to things like monthly meeting to check up on our progress, and monthly logbooks we are expected to do which can be used when it comes time for us to get assessed in our final year of our programme
we receive quite a bit of support as there is always people around the workshop willing to help you out if you are struggling
my training provider is very helpful they push us to achieve the most skills and learn as much about the craft as we can
the skills they teach me on how to operate machines and how to use tools correctly has been useful as it is tranferable into my work
I attend the workshops nights out to help bond with my co workers
Yes
as it is a great apprenticeship that could set you up for lots of options for your future whether that be at SSE or elsewhere
Be confident in the interviews and try your best
