I do a bit of everything from helping customers in the lobby to taking orders at the till and packing orders. I also work on middle of house doing fries burgers sending chicken down to front of house. I even do cook now and again when we are short on cooks.
I have learned alot of new skills that i didnt have before like how best to make food orders how to deal with conflict in the best ways either with customer or staff. The best ways to manage my staff and how to adapt to different situations that can arise.
I love the program everyone that i have worked with so far have been helpful and so friendly. When i have had to go between tutors because of promotions and things they have tried to make it as seem less as possible so disruption to my learning has been at a minimum
It has been well organised and structured everything online is in one place and it is under different headings which are easy to understand. Anything that is linked is tried to be kept as together as possible with subheadings where needed so everything is really easy to find and the tutors are really organised and structured on how they do the learning so everything follows on from each other
I have had lots of support from my manager i have been given days off for my remote calls so that i dont miss them. They helped me to figure out what direction to take some of my projects in and how to structure them so i meet the criteria to gain a pass
I have had so much support from my different advisors they are always there to answer my messages or emails when i am stuck on things or don’t understand something. They help explain it in a way i will understand they also gave me extensions due to personal reasons that have got in the way of projects deadlines
I think it helps alot as it has built on my knowledge that i did have giving me a better understanding on why things are done a certain way or why certain things are done. It has also given me knowledge i didnt know i needed to do my job to the best of my ability
We have company groups on yammer to get involved in to do activities to improve our community. We have a lgbtq group for lgbtq staff and how to make work and the community a safer place to work and live for them. We do events for local charitys and also have a group called radio fighting for the rights and inclusion of all staff and people in the community trying to stop discrimination and live up to equality and diversity
Yes
Kfc (gastronome) is the only place that i have worked that does not care about a persons skin colour, who a person loves or where they come from or a persons background. They just care if your willing to work and put the effort in to help make the company the best it can be and values its staff
Just be yourself as you wont be judged you will be excepted. Its a place you can work and have fun. You need to be open to working with people from all walks of life and not be prejudiced against people as they dont tolerate non acceptance of peoples differences.
