1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I assist in running the restaurant on a day to day basis as-well as handle admin responsibilities. Labour, waste control, budgets, stock control and purchase ordering etc

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes developing new and better skills around leadership, communication, HR, employment laws, British values and equality etc

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I very much enjoy the opportunity to work and earn a living but still continue to expand my knowledge and gain qualifications

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well structured our whole year is mapped out, dates, modules and lecturers and there’s tons of support available to us all.

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive lots of support from kfc education department and my work place mentor

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Loads, 3 full lecture day, month reviews, there available 24/7 etc

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I’m learning more about myself, the labour market and business was as a whole and I see a huge difference in many of skills.

8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are networking events but no sport teams or any social activities other than staff parties but we’ve not had one of them since Covid

9a. Would you recommend KFC UK & I to a friend?

Yes

9b. Why?

I’ve worked there 7 years and joined as college drop out and made £5.20 an hour and now I’m an assistant manager, making a lot more money and I’ve done level 1,2,3 and now Im on a degree apprenticeship

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to KFC UK & I?

Don’t just use kfc as a stepping stone while looking for another option, use what kfc can offer while your there
