I study Business Management as a Graduate Apprentice at Queen Margaret University (this is not listed on your website). I did not pursue any further education when I finished secondary school and have been at SSE since I turned 18. I am now 34. We attend campus once a week. Our class is small (only 4 of us) so we get a real intimate experience and I feel like I am learning useful and practical information that is bringing beneficial change to my workplace whilst attributing to my personal development goals. I would 100% recommend it to anyone else.
Yes - the work-based learning has been the most beneficial so far.
I really enjoy the one day a week to fully engage in the programme and experience
Very well. We do a combination of online and in-person lectures and seminars. There is a large volume of homework but this is manageable with good time management
SSE have been great at allowing me to attend campus every week. I have an extremely busy role.
QMU have been great. As a smaller establishment we receive a more intimate and tailored experience.
I'm still in the first year but feel that it is already providing real benefits to the business and my own development
I am responsible for forming relationships with external partners so frequently attend external events
Yes
I have worked with SSE for almost 17 years. As a large company, there is a broad amount of opportunities available. I have worked in numerous roles in various disciplines.
Attitude is everything. If you are willing to work hard and support others you will do well.
