Through my role I conduct monthly sales reports which analyses data from new orders for the business. Also, I run data collection and storage of Siemens Installed base for all products and projects which have been sold or implemented
Through my apprenticeship I have learnt to improve my ability and knowledge to analyse large amounts of data and how to effectively storage this data. Also, I have learnt how improve my communication and presentation skills when showing the data have analysed
I have only started my program at DMU for nearly six months which has been good to start learning again after my previous apprenticeship. The course so far has been challenging due to the new content I have never experienced before therefore resulting myself being slower than the rest to learn
I feel my program is well structured and the modules have scheduled before the academic year was begun which has meant I can better plan this around my work. Only issue I have had with the programme at DMU is the coding modules which I have never tried before were one and the other and therefore meant I didn't get a prolonged period of time to learn the basics before moving onto the more complex coding
The support I have received from my employer has been good and therefore I couldn't ask for more. When I have an issue about anything if it's work based, personal or about the course my employer is always their to offer me support or guidance about how I can deal with the issue
When I have had issues about my coursework or assignments my training provider has been more then happy to help me through the confused and teach me additional information I would need in order to overcome this. The training provider regularly communicates with me using our 12 weeks reviews which are in place
I feel the qualification I have been undertaking will better my performance in my current role. I have not yet undertaken a module which I feel would better my performance however I feel like it will come in handy. For example there is a module within the first year called Database design which will help!
There a no real extra-curricular activities which I undertake at work. Other then the social gatherings at work, e.g. Christmas parties and reunions. However, outside of work I am part of a eleven aside football team and two six aside football teams as well as regularly going to the gym.
Yes
I would recommend this to a friend because the I feel the employer offers a great level of responsibility and progression throughout the career I have had offer the last 3 years. For the training provider at this moment in time I have no issues and therefore would recommend this also
Before applying for this position I would suggest selecting the position they would feel passionate about because then the drive to succeed and learn is there already. Also, I would make sure you're selecting a company which you feel yourself would strive in because then working motivation I feel would increase. These two pieces of advice is what I felt when applying for roles within Siemens
