  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • i am a data analyst who uses adobe analytics and adobe debugger getting commercial banking website links and putting them into analytics. I then measure its performance by whatever is requested by my managers / wider team. I would also be in zoom calls involving what the commercial banking next steps are.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • since starting the bank i have become more a analytical person and started to approach tasks more diligently and carefully. i also developed the skills of using adobe analytics breaking down wesbites showing specific statistics. i have also learned how to be more professional , writing emails , improving my communication skills alongside.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • My job role at natwest is really good. my team and manager are super nice and they make sure to not over work me and give me enough work to keep myself busy. my apprenticeship is also very good and broad , it isnt just using one application we learn how to become good data analysts

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • my apprentice program structure isnt the best. i am currently around 7 months in with 11 remaining and i am already dong difficult tasks that are for my submission which i am confused about , the structure could be a lot better and more organised in my opinion and it is scheduled too change but for the next set of apprentices

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • my employers give me a lot of support , if i request extra time they will give it to me and they allow me to have my chosen days and have no problems. they are trying to help me with my final submission as they have more information about data than me

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • my DLC or my teacher is very helpful and supportive. he will book calls with me if i am struggling or he will allow me to have extra time if needed. he explains what i need to do properly and will go out of his way to make a whole powerpoint slide to do so.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • it mainly helps me with my mental ability to solve and approach problems as my current job role only uses adobe analytics. we have learn about customer focus and UX and how the process of creating a product / service happens to understand where our decisions as data anslysts come from

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • we dont have any consistent extra curricular activities but we have had some trips to other cities for work to meet with the wider team and to talk about what we do. there isnt any social or sports from both sides of the apprenticeship and they dont really do anything social.

  • Yes

  • i think natwest is a very good place to have a career as there is a lot of space to grow and develop your skills and sharpen your current perspective on your skills. also being the the youngest in my office it is a very good thing to get in early to build your professional understanding.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest?
  • If you would like to get a apprenticeship with natwest talk about your current experinces and how you balance them showing you are able to balance a work / study life with your own personal time aswell. show resiliance and perseverance and dont give up and making sure to always be confident in your answers
