Assist on the assembly line when required. Learn and help out different areas in the plant.
I have developed on existing skills that I previously had whilst learning new skills. I have developed my hands on skills further and my communication skills have improved a lot.
I am enjoying my placement as it’s suited to me, it’s making me enjoy work a lot more.
It’s getting better however I feel like it could still be improved.
We are getting more support and managers are starting to be more aware and they are communicating better.
The support is okay however I feel like in some areas it is lacking. For one lesson we still receive the lesson over teams and it’s making it a struggle to learn.
I don’t feel like it links fully with the job role. I feel like it links in some areas but there is a lot of parts which do not relate.

I think it is a good apprenticeship and it’s starting to get better. Apprentices are getting heard and things are starting to change. Rolls Royce is a good place to work for and it can help you progress a lot in the future.
Be patient as the application process can take time. Be prepared to be asked about the company and for the SHL tests.
