I used to served the general public fast food. My role included taking orders and cooking different items of food at different areas of the kitchen. Preparing food and drink. I took orders and payments from customers at the drive thru window and at the tills inside of the restaurant.

I enjoyed the tasks I had to do to complete the programme and I enjoyed meeting with the trainers, they were professional and very helpful when it came to any issues. I enjoyed using the learning program at home, it was easy to use and had lots of little bits of helpful information.
The organisation and structure or the programme was very well organised on the apprenticeship front. The tasks set were easy to follow and if there were any issues the mentors were very helpful and easy to contact with quick and productive responses. The programme was well organised and well structured.
The support which I received from my employer has been very good and helpful. If there are any issues with anything I feel I can approach my employer and that they will help and try to get to the bottom of any issues quickly. My employer has been good support.

When I worked at McDonald’s there were social media activities such as tiktok videos etc and Facebook things to do. There were also competitions like running that members of staff were involved in and we were always encouraged to use our creative minds and recommend new ideas for things to do.
Yes
McDonald’s is an excellent place to work for flexibility and a friendly environment. Apprenticeships are encouraged which I thought was an excellent opportunity and thing to encourage. Training and opportunities for progressions were also very good. I’ve recommended a few friends to work at McDonald’s and one has.
The tips or advice I would give to others when applying to McDonald’s would be if you are thinking about joining the company, then just apply. The staff are friendly and helpful and there are no age limits when applying, there are different ages of people who work there.
