So, my role here at Pearson as an operative is at the moment working in the warehouse and logistics side of the business. This also will include the dispatch and receiving of parcels in the business. I also deal with coursework, and I also provide in house training services for al warehouse equipment. My role also will cover Health and safety checks within my area as well as enforce the use of the correct PPE in the warehouse.
During my time on the apprentice program, I have learned so much thanks to the amazing support from the Apprentiship team. I have been able hold meetings with people that are so far above me within Pearson to question them on Health and Safety. I have been able to look for improvement projects for the area that I work in and with the new skills that I now have, I am able to push these projects thru. One of the most important things I feel I have gained so far on my Apprenticeship in my eyes is I have a whole new level of self-belief, and this is all thanks to the Apprenticeship Team.
The level of Joy this program has brought me is hard to quantify. I have been working for Pearson 16 years this year and I was starting to feel stale and stuck and then the Apprentiship program came along and showed me that there is so much more that I can be doing within Pearson with my new skills.
The program is so well organized the providers are second to none as the Apprentiship team vet them all and with [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] and [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] experience you know that only the best will do. They are always one call or email away no matter what time of day it is for support and with the support network of apprentice ambassador’s that they have put in place you have so much help if needed. There is also the reviews of you provider when one of the apprentice team will sit in on one of your classes and this helps in so many ways,
The level of support from Pearson is second to none. My time off the job is never in question and the chances to use my new skills are coming at me thick and fast.
My training provider is so supportive we are not limited to just speaking during class you call them text them or email them at any time day or night and they are always happy to help.
I feel that my provider has shown me a whole new world of health and safety with my qualification and this will allow me to look at the business thru new eyes and be able to improve the business for the better and more safe environment.
There are sports and social team that is always looking for things for people to do. The apprenticeship team is always looking to run events to raise awareness of apprenticeship program here at pearson as well as the chance to join the Stationers.
