I lead on the undergraduate marketing campaigns Pearson Business School and Escape Studios (outside of open days), pick up any ad-hoc project based campaigns and produce content where required. I work on keeping the website up-to-date and ensuring the pages are built correctly. Manage relationships with online profile account managers and ensure our profiles are optimised.
The programme has completely transformed by professional skills. I started after finishing college with no experience of the workplace and this apprenticeship has built so many skills including teamwork, building good working relationships, copywriting, planning and most importantly time management. Working full time and studying a full time degree is hard work and really teaches you how to plan your time.
I have really enjoyed the programme. It is extremely stressful around university deadlines but it is part of the job and although its tough, going through it has taught me so much. Work has been really enjoyable, I have been surrounded by a fantastic supportive team and manager within a lovely company culture - the perfect environment to learn!
The programme was dynamic and we went through a lot of changes during the process but overall we had good support and that's the most important thing.
A huge amount of support from my employer (Pearson College London). My manager [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] is hugely dedicated to supporting our team and has been a fantastic mentor throughout the process, always on hand to help me when needed and teach me how to be better - amazing support!
We have our recorded lectures to watch during the week and a day of seminars on Friday (usually between 1.5 hours - 2 hours long).
The qualifications have hugely helped report writing, producing concise information and expanding my knowledge.
There are professional networking events in normal circumstances but as most of my programme was during COVID it was not something I attended.
Yes
The company has a lovely culture, its supportive and ensures it brings team members up. You are never made to look silly for your mistakes and instead are taught how to improve and develop for next time. The team works together fantastically, you are always recognised for good work which makes every member feel valued for their contributions.
Be yourself, show willing to learn and be dedicated to the role.
