I work in the collections department helping customers in financial difficulty over the phone and via email, I like helping customers as it gives me a feeling of being able to help people out. I complete various day to day tasks during my job role which help our customers that fall into financial difficulty.
I have learnt and developed my communication skills very well since starting my apprenticeship. I have learnt many new skills which i have been able to apply to my day to day role which have led me to improve my capability when taking on new tasks that are given to me.
I have enjoyed meeting new people and making new friends, I have really enjoyed learning new things and being able to move around the departments. I think that it has taught me a lot about myself and really developed my self confidence in the workplace by being on this apprenticeship scheme.
My programme hasnt been very organised from the start, it was very unclear to me what i was required to do and complete and which meant that i had a lot of questions unanswered by my provider. Although with that being said this has improved in the last 6 months.
I receive quite a lot of support and help from my employer they are always checking in with me and seeing how I am getting on with my study and assignments, They always help me when i am stuck and provide additional support when i ask for it, i find this very helpful.
I recieve quite a lot of support from my employer, they provide us with 1 day where i can do all of my NVQ work instead of doing it outside of work hours. I find this really helpful and good that the company allow us to have this time. They are great!
It allows me to learn a lot about the industry i work in. By studying for my exams it has extended my understanding of the automotive industry. It has taught me quite a lot of new things in which i didn't know prior. It has allowed me to perform better in my role because i have m ore understanding on what i am doing.
Yes there is regular social events that i attend with my team outside of work which is very nice as it allows me to meet and make new friends in the workplace which i like. Every month i have a team meeting where we sometimes have a little bit of fun to make the week a little bit better.
Yes
They are a great employer and a great place to work as they offer many opportunities to their employees. They always offer great support and are very flexible at certain times. I have found that during my time at VWFS to be very enjoyable and i would definitely recommend them to other people.
I would advise to get a small understanding of the company values and the products and services that the company offer. As this will help you if you was to get a job here you would ultimately have a little head start. I would make your CV look like you are interested in the automotive industry to stand out from other candidates.
