I have learnt new IT systems and have also developed my Microsoft Office skills. I have also naturally developed my communication and time management skills as my role consists of working on multiple accounts and with different teams.
What makes my programme enjoyable is the fact I get to work with many people and develop/learn skills that will help me understand what area I would want to specialise in. In addition, the working environment is friendly and everyone is willing to help and support.
When you first join the programme, you are given a presentation detailing what the programme entails and its structure.
My employer is approachable and willing to support you whether it is work-related or a personal matter.
Whenever I have my monthly reviews with my training provider, I am always made aware of the support I can get when I need help. My work coach is approachable and friendly and I feel as if I can ask for help at any moment.
Yes, there are plenty of extra-curricular activities. We have FreshMinds who organise events for apprentices and graduates.
Yes
Everyone is really friendly/approachable and it is a great environment to work in. There are always opportunities to develop yourself and grow.
Research the job role and definitely do your background research on the company as you are likely to be asked a question about the company in your interview. At the end of your interview ask a couple of questions, i.e. ask one question relating to your job role and the second question relating to the company values. Most importantly, be yourself! as that is what Computacenter highly values.
