  • Working within an engineering environment. On the job training for the building and development of Aircraft.

  • Yes. Heat treatment, fitting, CAD, CFC.

  • An incredible amount. The support is excellent and even though I am the oldest apprentice they have ever had, I feel welcomed and included by everyone.

  • Very well. I have no complaints so far.

  • Enough

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • An adequate amount. The college part of the programme is the only weak link but that is down to the choice of tutors rather than the content.

  • It's too early to tell.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I believe so but I have a family so all of my spare time is spent with them.

  • Yes

  • Solid company, excellent pay once qualified and very supportive.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
  • Keep trying. If at first you don't succeed and all that.
