  • Yes I have learnt lost of new stuff like maintaining better focus and communication with my team members and learnt some more about roll in cleaning and maintaining kitchen records it the kitchen record keeping book I have learnt more in depth on chemicals and also allergy sheets and products

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy doing this apprenticeship with my mentor because she is helping me to focus on my job and understanding how it works and new things I am learning she is helping do some of my maths and English with my learning difficulties so I can get 1 to 1 lessons

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My mentor is very organised she send reminding by Text and email she has a lot of knowledge and is helping me get on with the apprenticeship and has also sorted out 1 2 1 lessens for my maths and English to help with my difficulties witch I find useful

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I dont really get much support at work as we don't have much staff and people keep leaving and with makes it very difficult to do my apprenticeship at work because I am mainly working on my own at work and we are waiting on a new hotel manager

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have been getting more support from my mentor then I am at work due to staff and waiting for a new manager so I can do more at work then at home so I can focus and concentrate better and my mentor is giving me lots of support with the apprenticeship

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It's a better understanding my work roll and helping me focus and concentrate on duties like cleaning and keeping records for the kitchen keeping record book my maths and English is helping me read instructions and recipes and information I use my maths to weigh out ingredients and measurements

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We do any team building exercises the only thing we do is a kitchen cook off to learn the new menu so.we all all kitchen staff and front of house staff and maybe some house keeping g will come and try the food that we make for the customers

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Because she is awesome she has help me in so much so far with remaining with appointments and goals understanding my job roll and maintaining focus and communication as I have some difficulties reading and writing Because it has increased my knowledge and understanding of the hospitality and catering industry


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Whitbread?
  • The application process was ok I did find some of the questions difficult I didn't have a interview due to the person went on holiday so it was skipped and when straight to my mentor I got confused and I did not no what was going on and spoke
