I manage a team of 10 agents and I am responsible for their well being whilst working and their performance. I have regular meetings with them day to day along with working with a wider department and help with service and forecasting also. I also have a number of projects that I'm working on aswell.
Yeah I have learnt a variety of new skills and built on existing skills. I was able to work on units and build on my evidence so I was able to gain exposure to different situations I wouldn't normally find myself dealing with. I'm confident that I have gained additional skills.
I really enjoyed it. At the beginning I did find it a bit hard as I was in an new department and as a result it was really busy with different calls / projects whilst also looking after my team however as time went on I was able to better prioritise my work.
It was very organised and structured. I was able to keep in touch with the assessor on a regular basis and I was able to keep him updated if I was facing any delays due to project work / holidays etc. If I needed any additional help or support I knew I could reach out to him aswell.
A lot of support. My employer knew that I was working on this SVQ so when we had our weekly check in / monthly 121 we spoke through how I was getting on and if I needed any support from her aswell. I didnt need any additional support but it was nice knowing I could reach out to her if needed.

I think it has helped me to perform better in my role as I've been able to gain exposure from different situations / problems / project work etc which I wouldn't have been able to get if I never had this SVQ to work through. I've definitely been able to put the theory into practice.
There isn't any extra curricular activities within work that I get involved in. I'm not too sure what activities there are now that COVID measures have been lifted. Prior to that there was a variety of zoom calls i.e quiz nights etc that people were able to get involved in.
Yes
I've worked here for nearly 14 years and I really do enjoy it. It feels like a family. Everyone looks out for and supports one another and I can honestly see myself working here for many more years to come. I would recommend working here to anyone if I was asked.
I'm not aware of the application process but I would say to be really thorough in your answers. So think of the STAR model. So situation, task, action & resolution and then work through that when you get asked a question. It helps you stay on track and I've found it has really helped me in the past.
