I manage my customers IT Infrastructure through meeting their requirements. I gather these requirements through calls/meetings and by qualifying the relevant questions.
I have developed my knowledge within the IT industry and being able to have a conversation around one's IT infrastructure. Through this, I have developed my social skills greatly.
I thoroughly enjoy my time with Softcat and the programme they have in place. They are always there to listen and care for their employees. However, sometimes the workload can be intense from our training providers, yet overall the programme is great.
Softcat provide you with great amounts of support and structure when going through the apprenticeship. Our apprentice managers regularly check in to ensure we are happy with what is needed of us through this programme.
Softcat support their apprentices amazingly. We have extensive amount of people we can go to if we were to have any queries, and they treat their apprentices like their own. We have multiple platforms where we are able to receive support.
It can feel very overwhelming/intense at the beginning however, the training mentor guides us through at one step at a time so overall they do support you well.
There are things we are given from our training providers that are not so relevant to the exact job role, however, most of it can be relevant to the job role (e.g. our sales training course) which benefits the apprentices.
There is an array of teams and networks we are able to join. For instance I am apart of the pride network, green team, supporting women in business network, and the black and ethnic minorities network. Also there football & sports teams we are able to join as well.

I am so proud to be apart of the Softcat culture. The company is fantastic and always puts their employees at the front of everything. There is this family feel within the offices and always willing to support you no matter your role within the company.
Network! Whether it be saying hello or sitting next to employees you have not met before, you will be admired for being sociable and networking around the office. I done this when I first started out (as scared as I was) and have now made friends for life.
