On a day-to-day basis, my aim is to engage customers by cold calling through sales list and try and win business to help me win my KPI's. I also have to balance my apprenticeship work on top of this, which is completed later in the day.
I have gained lots more confidence whilst being at Softcat. The cold calling has really helped put me out of my comfort zone and made me more proactive both in work and outside of work.
I love coming to work everyday, it makes me realise how lucky I am to be presented with this opportunity so I take each day with a smile and look forward to completing my work.
All of us apprentices know what we have to complete and when, so we have deadlines for apprentice work, KPI's and day to day tasks which are to be completed.
Lots, we have buddy's, managers and team leaders which are on hand to support us whether we have a question or query.
Our learning mentor supports us when we have a question, so we go to him when we need help or have a question.
It helps me complete my role better as by talking about what I'm doing and getting tasks done.
Yes, we have golf days, football after work and lots of communities to join.
Yes
Because I always feel happy when I'm here completing my work, engaging with customers and making friends with my colleagues.
Just be open-minded, cold calling is hard so please just give it a chance and keep being perseverant.
