Improving sales and trying to get the best margins possible. Recovering pre-payments, interacting with other teams, sorting the web ordering, using non-pricing actions such as adobe, csp, reviewing quality of hotels, managing duration control of the planes. Responsible for various destinations including morocco north africa and Tunisia. I interact with purchasers from different countries,
Lots of training courses such as TODP's and power hours where i have learned to manage my time be inclusive of others, other areas of the business such as cruise and health and safety. There are many professional meetings such as town halls and floor meetings where you are updated on the business performance
I really enjoy how fast passed my role is and it can be very different depending on the day. The poeple I work with are great and very supportive. I have lots of responsibility and they care about my development. The apprenticeship will help me in the future towards new roles
Very organised I have time towards my studies and regular meetings and catchups with my assessor. With my line manager i have a 1-2-1 every week but can always ask questions as and when I need to. There is clear actions on what we need to do each day and support is always there
There is all the support you would need i never feel lost in what im doing there is always someone i can ask questions to. They care a lot about my development and encourage me to have aspirations and review my personal development plan frequently. I dont feel nervous to ask
This could be improved there are some support resources on smart assessor but not for every course. For the duration of my apprenticeship I have never had any lesson or 'classroom like' session for my qualification but there is always lots of resources online so it hasnt made much difference but might have been nice for a change
It allows me to understand how a business works and the considerations that need to be taken into account. These include how to improve communication, stakeholder analysis, problem solving techniques. It has also helped with my presentation skills and allowed me to work in a team. The only thing is that is wasnt very suited to the travel industry I am in
Yes there are loads! Commercial are very good at organsing events but also my team go on meals out, trips to the park, virtual games once a month we all come into the office which i enjoy. Pre- covid there was much more going on in the office and I have volunteered at a dog shelter
Yes
It is a very buzzy atmosphere there is always something going on you feel appreciated and can see the impact of what you do. The people are really freindly and supporting. The benefits are great. You can wok from home or in the office and they care about development
You should show your personality in the application process and show have a passion for the travel industry, you should be confident and be able to work in a team. There may be a maths test depending on what department you will be working in. There are loads of exciting opportunities
