My role is learning to become a travel advisor within the travel industry. This means learning on the job as well as having time to complete off the job learning. Learning from my colleagues who have years of experience. Completing trainings and training days, to be come a fully fledge travel advisor.
Massively, I have come on leaps and bounds within the job role. But also personal development wise has come on amazingly. My customer skills, solving on the spot. Over coming issues myself, being confident in dealing with these. Dealing with different customer types especially through the pandemic. My knowledge destination wise has also developed.
I really enjoyed it, I feel like if I didn't have it I would not have found just having the job on its own really difficult. It gave me the confidence I needed to be where I am today. As well as meeting lots of different people from all over.
Really well, my assessor would set deadlines, with regular catch ups. I would know exactly where I am at every step and exactly what I needed to do. I had the best support, regardless of how many others she had to look after I felt like I was only one with how supportive she was. Never felt rushed, like she really invested her time in me.
The support was amazing and still is. From within my team and higher up, constantly checking in on me. Celebrating my success- was recognized for all 4 awards at the apprentice awards ceremony. We would have apprentice days, to catch up and see how we are getting on. As well as with my assesor.
Loads of support, as previously mentioned [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] was amazing. To say she had lots of apprentices she was consistent with everyone. Always sparing time for me and helping me wherever she can. She supported me not only with my work but also personally. Which I could not thank her enough for.
I feel it helps massively, I would not have been able to do the job without it. It helped my knowledge massively and I am so grateful and thankful for the opportunity. I am treated as a fully fledged travel advisor and member of the team. Relied on heavily which is really nice to see.
There are lots of training days we an attend, for example I was invited to a 3rd party supplier day it was going to be a lunch at a restaurant whilst discussing the 3rd party and what they do. We also had apprentice days like this. There are also things such as educationals.
Yes
Brilliant company to work in and so many other opportunities and paths you can also take. Which is fully supported and encourage. Get to meet so many different people from all different backgrounds. As well as take on new tasks to develop myself always. Always something we can go onto further.
Go for it... just do it!! One of the best things I have ever done to get myself where I am today. Have met friends for life as well as the experiences and places I have been able to see along the way. All whilst getting a qualification out of it too.
