junior technician goes down to the labs and starting up the UPLC , run the standards for each machine, top up the solvents for each machine and put any QC's on. calibrate pH meters and check eye wash stations in three labs.
I've developed my accuracy when using scales and pipetting, i now know how to use dotmatics and masslynx. I've developed my health and safety skills within a laboratory environment. i have learnt how to start up and run samples on the T3
i really enjoy the programme, the work loads not too much and i'm constantly developing my knowledge and the team and other departments are really nice
its good, i get a study day for my work and if i need support i know who to go to.
lots, i have a monthly chat with my manager and if need be can email him to talk sooner. i have a weekly check in with my mentor, we go through plans and makes sure everything good to make sure im getting the right support
if i need support i email the tutor and they respond pretty quickly so there is however much support i need.
it helps me to understand the industry more and the roles of the people around me

the workers are really friendly and the job is always interesting
be friendly and talk to everyone as if you ever have questions answered then you could ask them for help as they have more knowledge and experience within the industry.
