Completing tax returns when necessary - usually august - January period. Speaking to clients regarding their tax affairs and if they have any general queries. Completing P11D in months may onwards. Setting up opportunities on dynamics software for when we win new work. Using CEAP software to track all our engagements. Using Digita software
Yes I have - I have passed 2 exams in business taxation and personal taxation with Tolley, this will allow me to go on to complete my ATT paper 1,2 and 3 starting in September which will progress to eventually move on to the CTA qualification after ATT is complete.
I enjoy mu programme a lot, the people who i work with a very nice and helpful, RSM as a company is great and they offer many benefits and opportunities as well as things such as social events. I do find my studies challenging but have the right resources to help me.
I think that my programme could be structured better as my exam training manager also has a general job as a associate director therefore is extremely busy with that and other responsibilities, they also have any other employees to manager as their exam training manager also - i think it would be better to have a separate one.
I receive lots of support from my employer, we have lots of catch ups to see how I am getting on and I am regularly asked how I am and how my work is going. In terms of support for my study- my employer provides all necessary resources for this.
In terms of support for my study- my employer provides all necessary resources for this. My employer pays for all exams and study materials and provide me with a laptop to access all of the materials. I can also ask colleagues who have taken the same route general exam queries that i have.
I believe that I would be able to complete my role without the qualification as I am doing now - however in order to progress I feel that it would be necessary as more complex jobs could be carried out and more professional and accurate advice could be given.
There are many extra-curricular activities to get involved in at my work - we always have the option to attend networking events, there is a sports day, christmas event, summer event and meals. Smaller teams also get together and organise their own social events every now and again outside of work.
Yes
RSM is a great company to work for as they offer a competitive salary, a really great work environment, lots of support and many actives outside of work. There is also lots of room for progression and people are often being promoted in their team to a higher role often.
I would advise them to be themselves and to prepare themselves for a challenging career but also rewarding. I would advise them to keep an open mind and say yes to all opportunities and they could do work for multiple service lines which would make them a more versatile employee.
