  • I am an apprentice surveyor in the hotels team and this involves working on both valuation and agency work. It is a mix of desk-based work and going out on property inspections, viewings, and meeting clients.

  • I have learnt lots of new skills including the methods of valuation for real estate as well as developing skills such as communication and presentation skills.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my day to day work and experience that I gain doing something new most days. There is also a good social aspect of the job.

  • The programme is very well organised between the university and employer, I have received plenty of support and time to study alongside my daily work.

  • I feel supported by my employer in order to achieve the best results possible at university as well as learning new skills and access to training to develop myself towards my future career in real estate.

  • The university are very supportive towards apprenticeship students and as well as the dedicated teaching blocks, you have access to their support throughout the year.

  • My qualification in the real estate pathway directly relates to my role, and lectures and coursework give you the chance to practice new skills.

  • There are plenty extra activities you can get involved in such as professional networking as well as more casual socialising with colleagues which help you get involved more and create a better bond with your team.
