Auditing a wide range of clients which includes reviewing accounts and liaising with the client directly.
Yes absolutely. Less than a year in and I have a solid understanding of basic accounting skills. My professional communication skills have massively improved too.
I'm really enjoying my apprenticeship so far, especially the social side of things. Surprisingly there's a lot of downtime at my level so lots of time to make friends at work.
I find the programme well structured although it is often down to the apprentice to organise study time and internal training, especially organising this around work. However, this is always improving and evolving.
I have regular check-ins with my line manager and college support team, and there is always a range of people I can ask for help.
For each exam, you have some days off for college then one study day before the exam. This can be challenging but the lecturer is always available for questions in between college and exams.
So far I've found my exams to be very relevant to my role and they have really boosted my understanding of my day job.
Loads. From sport to social nights out to communities within the firm who help bring awareness to issues often found in corporate environments. Lots to get involved in.
Yes
Good salary to learn career boosting skills and gain high level qualifications while also being surrounded by great supportive people.
When applying make sure you really show who you are - it's not all about the experience you have.
