Working a part of a team, using Microsoft and audit packages to analyse and test client data in order to complete annual audits toward an audit opinion
I have learnt skills in auditing, accounting, package software, security training and a variety of other areas in the audit profession
I thoroughly enjoy the people I work with in my individual office as well as the colleagues and friends I've made on my apprentice programme specifically.
It is a very well structured programme with a clear pathway throughout however due to COVID and a lack of organisation we have not had a smooth ride.
A lot of support comes internally from teams which is helpful on a day to day basis. My PL and PM as well as higher management in my office have been very supportive in other issues.
We operate with BPP who provide a good level of support but not necessarily the standard there was pre COVID in the current format.
Working on a relevant qualification means I see my learning showing up in my work all the time which helps me perform better and stay motivated.
There are numerous societies and professional networks to get involved in that allow for socialisation and on an individual basis post COVID our office has social activities of its own.
Yes
The people are great to work with and in terms of progression there is a clear path, although their are cons they would be the same found at any big4 so out of your choices I'd say KPMG first.
Be confident, it is a people orientated business and your ability to speak up will not only impress but gain you respect.
