I have not had to use any support. I do know others have received support when they have asked.

I personally believe that the qualification side, although relevant in most of the units, is more of a check-box exercise. It is however necessary for gaining your accreditation and/or if you have had no previous experience working with vehicles/electronics as this is all you will have before being set into the workplace placements.
I do not part take in extra-curricular activities at work but am sure there are some available.
