On a day to day basis, I complete outstanding order reports for the sales order management team (SOM). I also support the purchase order management team by helping them complete their reports. I place orders for customers and chase ETAs and PODs for them. I complete returns for customers when they no longer need a product.
I have learnt how to filter columns on excel and how to use SAP to find POs and how to cancel Sales order numbers. I have also learnt how to create credits and debits on SAP so that customers can get their refunds. I have developed my level 3 qualification in business admin in the apprenticeship.
I enjoy the programme as I have received a lot of support from colleagues and the apprenticeship programme. I am always kept busy but never overloaded with work. The team are lovely and the company culture is great. It has met my expectations well. The work itself is interesting and I learn a lot.
The programme is very well organised. The training is not overwhelming because we are given breaks in between the sessions. We are given enough time to study so that we can get work done. I have had a lot of support meetings to make sure that I am on track.
I receive a lot of support from my employer. I have regular 121s with my manager to see how my work is going. If I have a problem, then I know who to go to. Any problem I have is dealt with straight away. The general attitude towards supporting me is good.
I receive a lot of support from my training provider. We have monthly sessions to go over my progress. It gives me an opportunity to go over anything that I don't understand. I can also reach out to my tutor outside of my sessions if I am struggling with something.
What I have learnt from my apprenticeship has helped me perform better in my role as it puts my learning into practice. I feel like I know more about the role while completing the apprenticeship. On a day to day basis, the apprenticeship helps me with my role as it helps me understand things better.
There are many extra - curricular activities at work. We have a social team that organise football matches, walks and jogging clubs. There are also social events after work which include sports day, golf and meets ups at restaurants. There is also a yearly conference where you have an opportunity to network with other people.
Yes
I would recommend Computacenter because it is a great company to develop your career in. There are lots of opportunities to explore different departments to see what is best for you. The company culture is great which makes you want to come into the office. There are also lots of social events.
My application process was completed differently as it was during COVID. However, I would say to be yourself and also prepare answers to common questions that they may ask. I would also prepare questions that you would like to ask. My experience was great. I am happy that I have done this apprenticeship.
