  • I am a purification process development scientist in the R&D supporting drug portfolio and pipeline. My role ensures that the processes I develop can meet product quality requirement set by the regulatory body and can be successfully transferred into clinical production providing sufficient medicine for clinical trials.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt how to design experiments and gain presentation skills. I am also doing the data analysis apprenticeship to update my skillsets.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am enjoying learning new things and adding new skills to my tool box. I have been working for 7 years after graduation and learning from scratch takes more energy than I thought but I am adapting.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is very well organised and structured. We constantly get emails from the organiser as reminders and the online tutorials are very interactive. But I would say the hours required to complete the assignment it's longer than what it stated to be, at least for myself.

  • Support are accessible with clear guidance. However, sometimes workload is high and it's difficult to balance the time to do my own study.

  • We have monthly meeting with mentor and he is very approachable. He is polite and good at what he does.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I am at the very beginning of the apprenticeship but I can tell that the coding I am learning can be applied in my role and help streamline a lot of mundane data analysis work.

  • Yes there are a lot of team gathering and yesterday I attended the Science Symposium and presented my poster.
