My role involves running and managing the store and colleagues. Implementing business requirements and coaching/training colleagues.
I have developed some of my existing skills further and build upon my strengths however I have learnt many new things.
I did enjoy learning new things and understand different perspectives and ways to approach different issues. I could be a lot to manage at times since I was still working full time while trying to complete the apprenticeship.
The communication could be improved. I do find between each organisation there was a lack of communication and understanding which mainly effects the apprentice.
Once again this could be improved massively. Unfortunately the support was not the best, the apprentices in the store do not often get the time or resources they require. The stores also require further support as they are losing someone from their day to day team.
This was good however it could be better. At the start of my apprenticeship I did end up with many different coaches until it finally settled down. Once I had one main one it was great and they were full of the experience required.
I do believe it has helped me to progress into my current role. I found it has benefited me a lot when dealing with difficult situations and when coaching colleagues.
Not that I am aware of.
Yes
It can be a good place to work and there are many great people working within the business. That said there are a lot of improvements to be made.
Always look at the development programmes they offer as many people can benefit from them.
