Day to day I am responsible for the running of the restaurant and have to ensure that the management team are adhering to expectations in order to achieve our metrics. I have to also ensure that the building is maintained in a safe way for the customers as well as
I have been working closely with the business manager to check that our Profit and loss accounts are accurate and representative of the store. I have become a lot more aware of the relation between labour and how sales impact our budget. as well as food controls ensuring that we do not waste product.
I enjoy the programme that I am on yet I wish that I had more time to complete it. I feel that the workplace that I am under is demanding and requires a lot of my attention and I don't always get back what I put in. this is a shame.
The programme is well organised and I enjoy the format that it is delivered to us yet I think that their should be more relaxed with the deadlines as I feel that I have to work 5 days a week, have hobbies, see friends, run as well as read the literature and have to complete weekly tasks whilst running a 6mil restaurant
I don't receive any support, but I don't usually ask for it, I think that there could be more given and received in a way. I have been working in a restaurant where there has only been myself and the business manager and usually there is around 5 salaried managers in a restaurant
I receive a lot of support, there is probably more that I could do to get the support should I ask for it. I think that i have struggled with writing some of my assignments and I think that there should of been more of a retraining in how to write for example PEE paragraphs, which I know aren't academic but this is just an example.
I think I have really increased my awareness of business trends through reading and listening to the news which enables me to have a greater insight at noticing trends. I think that I have also learnt the science of business and know that I I have a problem, then I can probably find somewhere that has also had the problem
No there're no activities in particular, I think that this is a big opportunity, yet there probably isn't enough time for said activity's which is sad. I probably wouldn't have time to attend them either not want to in the nicest way possible. There is a big gap between the corporate office and restaurant level
Yes
I think that it is a good company to work for yet I do feel that there are opportunities for the business and it just depends on the business manager that is running the shop. I have gained a lot of experience and I think that it cold help shape others also
Make sure that you are ready to give a lot to the company as I feel that is one of the only ways that you can get the most out of the experience. I don't think that it is good for people that have children or family's at all.
