My role involves overseeing the apprenticeship delivery for the Retail Division in the company. On a day-to-day basis, I am involved in ensuring new learners get added to the programme, curating learning material, complying with the admin processes as required and engaging stakeholders with the programme.
I have learned the knowledge required for my role and have been able to put the knowledge into practice with projects I have undertaken to ensure the learning has been transferred and became lifelong.
I have enjoyed filling the gaps in my knowledge and have used the opportunity to connect with other professionals to continue learning and share experiences.
The programme had been structured logically and there was always the opportunity to ask questions if required.
My employer has always supported me by involving me in projects where I had the opportunity to put my learning into practice. I was given the time and space to learn and complete the programme and reach out to peers for help as and when required.
The support I received from my training provider improved as I progressed with the programme. Initially, I was confused about what I was required to do. However, with the introduction of my second coach, it all became clear and the coach gave me constructive and helpful guidance right till the end.
My qualification helps me to perform better in my role as it instils the confidence and knowledge that I lacked. It has also helped me to understand the importance of continued professional development.
Yes, there are various networks that I have already joined on our community FUSE, Yammer etc., and that help in interacting with people, asking questions, sharing ideas and aid in peer to peer learning.
