  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • First thing in the morning is breakfast and we serve and assist with breakfast from 830-10am, 10am to 12:50 personal care, 1300-1400 lunch is serve, 1430 to 1500 assist residents to activity, 1500-16:45 pad changed for residents who needs assistance, 1700 to 1800 dinner is serve and 1800-2000 assist residents who would like to go to bed.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes I have learned few things. I have learned how to do an infection control inspection, I was taught how to use the labelling machine for labelling residents clothes, I learned about how to care for individuals mouth and also learned about skin and how to properly care for the skin.

  • I have to say I have learned a lot. It helps me do my job well and also keep myself and residents safe while doing my job.

  • It is very well organised from start to finish even though I haven’t finish the programme yet

  • Well from the beginning they seems to be a misunderstanding with the off the job training however, they have now started to support me with it

  • I would say my tutor has been really kind to me through out my course .

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think they have done well with all the subjects they put out for each students to learn and it helps you to do your job well. Well done to them.

  • We attended residents activities sometime.

  • I would say go for it and don’t listen to what people say about the company.
