My roles involves ensuring my vice president and senior management team have all the tools they need for the days/weeks ahead. Ensuring my Division of 433 people are kept updated re info. I am also involved in several projects as a project assistant
Developed my admin skills so that I can further assist as an assistant and later on to lead my own projects. I have also developed my public/presentation skills to speak more confidentally! Putting a project document together has also updated my skills.
I like the interaction it has me develop when working/speaking with colleagues. It has helped me to understand the company culture and how it relates to my position within the company. I have enjoyed it immensely.
The programme is structured well however having to study while working can be hard but I have learnt that I don't have to do everything in my role and some tasks can be delegated. The overall support from Pearson has been great.
I have received support both internally and externally - it was nice to know so many people are willing to give you their time and expertise. My Manager provided insight to the organisation, while my mentor helped me to break it down.
The Tutor would advise but I have had several and the help has been a bit patchy but nevertheless helpful.
This qualification has grown my confidence to ask for help and tackle a task in a more positive way. I have put into practice my public speaking and used a Gantt chart which I have never previously needed to use.
I get involved in several extra-curricular activities at work. We have Employee Resources Group specifically linked to STEM/LGBTQ+/Diversity for People of Colour/Quizzes - all of which I play a role ie Events planning.
