Manage Dom Care Team in a BUPA Care Village setting for assisted living residents in their own homes. Support the wider village in day to day management including part of Duty Manager rota throughout the year to cover weekends and bank holidays
Developed current skill base and learnt new skills with different policies and processes including new software for BUPA.
The programme is required as part of being registered manager for the service. It is interesting to revisit skills and build further knowledge around the role
Seems to be well structured, software is a little repetitive but tutor is very good.
I am supported to generally take my study day however the current pressures of the job take priority on a weekly basis.
My tutor is excellent and keeps me updated and in touch she has also been very understanding of our current situation in care with no staff on a daily basis
The qualification supports the role I am doing and further informs skills around management and regulation.

Yes
I would recommend my workplace but with the caveat on understanding the top heavy approach and average to poor pay structure and no sick pay - other companies may offer more locally.
Every day is a new day and will come with its own challenges
