  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My shift pattern is four days in the office (working from home) and one day at university. The day consists of meetings with various stakeholders within health services. Analysing data to be used in development of future projects. Presenting information to clients as well as responding to general queries regarding the work I complete.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Initially, the course felt quite like being thrown in the deep end and I certainly felt impostor syndrome initially. However, as the weeks went on and I began to gain a better understanding of the work/ what was expected of me I began to enjoy the course a lot more up to now where I thoroughly enjoy what I do, working with a great team.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It's definitely a work in progress. The structure has been a bit all over the place with it being a new course, however Accenture and BPP both take on board the feedback and are developing the program for future years. Structure of the course lectures has been mostly good as well.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Accenture have supported me massively with both personal and professional progression. They have tons of services that you can use and you are encourage to take time to learn new skills progressing yourself. I have not met a single person that does not want to support you in what ever way they can.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • There has been some difficulties with BPP, access to resources can be a pain, contacting lecturers outside of lesson time can be difficult and whilst they say they take on board feedback, change is slow and not very significant. That being said, the quality of teaching has been good with only some difficulties.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The training has prepared me very well for the role that I am currently working within. I have been able to identify some areas for improvement within the service that I would not have know about without the technical knowledge I had received from the course. I am also learning skills that will help with future projects.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are lots of extra curricular events, however not many groups. It would be nice if there was some sports teams that could be gotten involved with however that is not the case. Accenture runs lots of lunchtime events and even some quizes/ after hours yoga sessions for staff to get involved with.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Accenture to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I have already recommended to some of my friends to come and work for Accenture. The pay may not be the highest within the industry, however, they really put their staff first and genuinely care about you; wanting you to achieve and become the best version of yourself. Accenture does meaningful work for clients within so many industries and it's a pleasure to work on such projects.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Accenture?
  • Don't wait around and also don't be disheartened if you don't make it in the first time around. When it comes to the actual application, the best advice I could give someone is to really show that you're passionate about technology, don't be afraid to show the recruiters your excitement, learn about who we are and what we do and finally, give it you best effort!
