I enjoy my work a lot as the environment is stimulating and engaging and you gain a lot of experience from the beginning. The planning department is also very welcoming and supportive, which is especially appreciated when you are starting out in your career.
The programme is well structured. Support is provided from both the University and Work.
I receive great support from my employer and they provide a good range of experience to help me achieve the RTPI competencies.
I receive good support from my training provider, but there could be better communication in some areas and better access to required software.

It provides relevant insight into appropriate planning law and provides an opportunity to trial planning process outside of the work environment. I have also gained insight into urban design, which helps me to consider planning issues from a different perspective.
