I am assisting on the boarding support team helping new starters get used to the role ready for them to go on their teams. I assist with queries and processes and helping sort out any issues. I also check on their stats and make sure that they are following these correctly
I have learnt how to manage a team from a TM perspective and how they do Quality monitoring and also how they do 1-2-1's. I have also taken meetings and gone through any processes that the agents are not confident on and explained in detail how to do these correctly
I thoroughly enjoy the programme and getting to learn all the management side of the job. It has given me the knowledge and the tools I need to apply to be a good and confident TM. It has also allowed me to assist with the new starters and helping them grow and make sure they are ready to join their teams
It is a highly organised programme and allows me to do the work either in work hours or outside work with not having to spend hours online completing the courses. There is no detrimental affect on my work life balance. The course is set out in a way that is understandable and the assessors are absolutely amazing
I have full support from my employer and am encouraged throughout each process. They have allocated time for me to complete the work and also to have teams meetings with my assessor. They also allow me time to go to the college for the days required of me to do the classroom course
I have tremendous support from [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] and I can call her or email her anytime and she is always available to answer me. I had a bit of a wobble at the beginning but [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] was there to reassure me and to talk to me to make me realise that I can do this
At the moment it is helping me understand the role of a TM, by showing me how a team should be managed. I also sit in on 1-2-1's so I can see how these are conducted, I also listen in on QM's and score them the same time as my TM to see if I am doing these correctly.
No there are no extra curricular activities for me to get involved with
Yes
I absolutely love my job and would recommend TUI to anyone and everyone. I am proud to work for the biggest travel company. They are a company that look after their staff and there is always different roles available whether it be in the contact centre, retail stores to overseas.
Always apply with an open mind. I would also advise them to do research on TUI first before the interview. There is no need to panic as the interviewers are always lovely and very helpful and will always make you feel comfortable and relaxed.
