i am currently doing a placement in quaity assurance where i am acculating and documenting data to determine how we can make leonardos production more efficient. i go to meetings and send emails to people to get my data.
yes i have learned how to use CAD and different computer softwares
it is relatively good however i struggle a bit with the univeristy work aswell as the plcements can sometimes be dull but that is simply just on preference of what you enjoy. they can sometimes lack work or meaningful work
the course doesnt seem too organised and is sometimes rushed in terms of events or lack of events but could be due to covid.
i recieve a good aamount of support through things like financial help as well as flexible working hours and help with my work.
a good amount and there is programmes that are there if struggling
i dont think the uni work is relevant to my course sometimes and that i would learn more with hands on work in the apprenticeship
yes there is
No
all my friends stay in glasgow so quite far. work is sometimes boring due to a lack of work but having uni work throughout the year helps with that. uni work doesnt have the best structure and you are unable to take holidays during any uni time which is throughout the full year(limited breaks).
be prepared to do studying and to not fall behind on any of the uni work as it really catches up on you. ask for help when you need it and try to keep a good social life with the other apprentices and colleagues.
