My role involves collecting, cleaning and analysing data to which is transformed into readable insight. in addition to this i look after planning of headcount and long range business planning. This involves working with Key stakeholder across the business to ensure we are correctly resourced to cope with future demand
Within my Apprenticeship i have learnt many skills ranging from SQL to Python, how to clean data but also to govern correctly using data dictionary. I have also understood more clearly how to use Tableau but also how to ensure a project brief is at a standard to enable successful delivery
I really enjoy this programme as it enables me time away from my role to formally learn new skills but equally time within my role to apply learning straight away on the job. The projects required allow me to deliver and excel within my role but also tick the box to complete a project for my portfolio
The programme is planned out great with a forward view of what's coming in the calendar. If you are unfortunate to miss a training call it is recorded enabling you to catch up in own time which is very helpful. Right at the start of the programme you are introduced to the expectations which really helps
My employer attends 1-2-1 sessions on a quarterly basis with my coach and Line Manager ensures if any help is required its raised but also meeting on a weekly basis enables me to discuss the progress of the course with my Line Manager. This ensure routine and that nothing can be missed.
Multiverse are fantastic with constant check ins and really encourage participation within the cohort, they split you into working groups allowing the opportunity to meet like minded professionals from a different environment. This has provided some invaluable insight into others world but also to look at project from a different light
From day 1 this gave me additional skills to enhance my ability to do my job better. the first few weeks focussed around governing data and how to normalise and keep a data dictionary. This is something i have struggled with in the past and jumped straight in. This gave me the confidence to slow down ask and get it right.
i don't believe there are activities as such to get involved in currently at CityFibre and if there are I'm not aware of them. I have noticed that discussions have started for this to happen with things like a family day out or a football tournament among the things mentioned
Yes
This company is by far the best I've worked for, joining in Covid could have been a very poor experience but the welcome (virtually) I received made this brilliant. From the top the first things always talked about is put your family first and CityFibre will take care of itself. The blame culture is none existent at CityFibre and the "in it together" really shows daily
Go for it! if its the right role for you its definitely the right company. Everybody has the same goal and everybody wants to get there so this means everybody works together ensuring we can get there as efficiently and effectively as possible. its tough sometimes but its recognised always
