Speaking with customers with a variety of banking queries. This could be anything from moving money from one account, to fraud on account, to closing account. I'm the first point of contact for customers so it's important that they get a good impression from the start from me.
I have learnt how to work under pressure more, how to answer calls in a professional manner and how to manage time accordingly. The course has also tested me on Maths and English for which I've not brushed up too much on since being at school some time ago.
I think it makes for a very welcome break from taking calls day in day out. It varies my day on the days my company decide to key the time out for me. I enjoy time speaking with my tutor also - she has been very responsive with me throughout the course.
Time will tell! The problem is my organisation do not key out enough time for meetings / my work so this is a frustration. The structure makes me do English and Maths but I would prefer to focus more solely on materials directly related to the course which I am working on.
Little. I'm not sure how to pad this out to the required 50 word count, but I am constantly battling with them for more time for the course. They simply don't key the time out for me. I mention this to them and they tell me it's enough but it is not.
The training provider is responsive and helpful and have been fighting my corner to get more hours keyed in, they provide me with constructive feedback when I submit work and go through anything I miss. They ask if I'm ok and if there is anything else I need support with,
Not too much but it does help a little. It has refreshed my knowledge on certain aspects of banking, helped a little in time management, given me time off the phone which means I am refreshed when back on calls helping customers. The tutor can encourage me also which is positive.
With covid this has proved to be difficult. I am a permanent home worker so this also can be a challenge also given that I work a distance from the offices at the moment. I will be hoping to join some local activities / do some volunteering in the near future.
No
I would not like to say too much about this as I worry about being held liable. For me the company has it's benefits for sure - there are many positives working for my current employer however there are some development areas they have which urgently need to be addressed I feel.
Again as in the previous section I would not want to give too much away with this as I don't want to be seen to put the company down. LBG certainly has many positives as an employer, I think you need to be the right kind of person to work there.
