My support worker role is to support individuals to manage their mental health as well as gain living skills to move on in life. I also train staff so they can do their job correctly.
I am always learning new skills on how to support people. My trainer job is new so I am currently learning the best way to deliver my training to staff.
I am finding it very for filling and it has helped me to progress in my career by becoming a trainer.
I believe it is very well structured and organised.
My employer has always been supportive and is always encouraging me to access further learning and development in order to progress in my career and complete my current role in the best way
My assessor is always available and has always provided any additional support that I need in order for me to do my best.
It has given me more knowledge and experience on how to mentor and coach my colleagues which has sent me in the direction of learning and development
Not at present however we host activities and events within the service for the people we support which staff can attend

Because they are a great company to work for and encourage their staff to do their best
