On a day to day basis I will be doing a lot of fulfilment and sending out IT equipment to users in the company. I also rebuild the laptops so that they can be sent out as well as performing RAM upgrades where necessary and repairs if they are needed.
I have developed my people skills and I am able to read and understand the type of language that is expected in the situation as well as how to keep people happy. I have also learn the importance of being self motivated as it is a very busy work environment.
I am really enjoying it it has given me a lot to think about in my future and it has really set in stone that this is what I want to do and where I feel comfortable. I have met some really cool people and enjoy the help and support that is given by everyone
The program is pretty well organized I know what I am doing and am aware of deadlines and goals that I have to achieve. the college offers support if I need help with course work and work are very flexible if I need to work on college stuff during work hours.
I receive a lot of support and flexibility it terms of using work time to finish of any college work. there are people here that have already done an apprenticeship so they are really good to talk to if I have any questions at work regarding progression and the apprenticeship.
I receive a lot of support from the training provider my tutor is able to answer most questions I have and if he cannot answer it he will be able to find the answer for me by asking about. there are also lots of people at different stages within the class so I can get support from people further ahead in the course that no to help.
as it is industry recognized courses it will allow me to progress quicker through the company or I will be able to another company and show that I have experience and a few industry recognized qualifications. this will help my career progress and help me feel more comfortable with different tasks.
there are loads of things to do at work especially fundraising and charity events. within the next few months there is a upcoming opportunity to represent cityfibre at multiple different pride events. they also offer a day off a year paid to go and do charity work which take the pressure trying to work it around work.
Yes
It is a brilliant company to work for they focus a lot on early careers and giving us the help and support that is needed whether that is through a apprenticeship or a graduate role. there is also a lot of opportunity to progress and train in different qualifications as well as improve future career aspects.
The only advice I can say i'd give is to don't be nervous it is a amazing company with amazing people and support to make you feel comfortable and supported as well and give you all the right opportunities to get involved with other departments and aspects of the business.
