My role includes working on multiple different sites and working closely with Engineers for various customers whilst managing the building management systems. This includes looking into Gas Valves, Water Systems, Lighting Controls, Generators, Static Inverters and many more.
I have become much more confident and have started putting myself out there. I ask more questions, along with any opportunity that comes my way I'd take the leap and try it to see if it works for me or not.
I enjoy working for my company and the programme itself is a fantastic opportunity to grow into a professional individual. I enjoy learning new things and networking with new people within the business who share their expertise and experiences which is very valued to me.
My programme is well structured, there is a good amount of communication from my company and the university that I'm enrolled at. The company and institution do their very best to make ends meet for apprentices.
I receive great amount of support from my employer. If I find myself struggling with something they will do whatever they can to provide me with sufficient solutions and resources to aid in my development. Very accommodating!
I receive a good amount of support from my training provider, I find that any worries or queries that I have are answered instantly. They also provide me with any new or relevant information that will help me and my development.
I definitely think that the content learnt through my training provider reflects how I perform in my role. So far the modules covered have aided to give me a better understanding and background into engineering and how certain systems are connected and work.
Yes! there are many activities to get involved in. I'm looking to play for the local netball team for Schneider. I'm also a part of BCIA young engineers network. I am attending the first female event in Schneider Electric for which I'm really excited.
