My job is to retain existing business within the primary sector in the London Region. Customers contact me to cancel their subscriptions and I try to save them, they also contact me to order top up orders of print or cross selling other online subscriptions of products or services. I also go on Live chat and telephones two days a week.
I have learnt so much since being on the apprenticeship programme, it is so nice to be able to put the learning into action daily in my current role. My emails have changed a lot because of the learning i have achieved and my confidence in talking to customers has changed dramatically.
The content is very engaging and I enjoy the tasks, sometimes they are not always suited to my role but my mentor and assessor help me change the way I can approach the task to suit my job role. I look forward to my study day and am excited to see what I learn next!
My assessor does not bombard me with too much learning and once and asks what I am currently doing or learning at the time to make sure that the assignments fit with what I am currently learning within my job role. On boarding was a little messy but now I am started its great.
Pearson allow me my 20% off the job which I take every Tuesday and my line manager attends my one to one meetings. I have had some support from a few colleagues that have done the same apprenticeship as me and they have all given me lots to think about.
My training provider has been helpful when I have asked for help or guidance and has made me feel at ease ready for presentations, they have given me extra pointers to help with emails and calls and are supportive with making sure I am ok mentally as well as supporting me with the apprenticeship
I don't think I would be as confident as I am without starting the apprenticeship, I have developed so many skills already and I only started this year. I am looking forward to getting better and better because of the skills I am learning through the apprenticeship. I am really enjoying it!
I currently work from home so all extra activities are normally online. However I have used my two volunteering days that I am able to use through Pearson and have found this very rewarding, they also set up online coffee chats for us to that you can attend to have a office chit chat.
Yes
Pearson are supportive with mental and physical health, they genuinely want you to progress with their company and every single person I have met is friendly and approachable, there is no hierarchy of you must not speak to them as they are too high up, I ask anyone questions and am happy to reach out to anyone
I left it too long to decide to apply and now wish that I applied years ago, they support a work home life balance and you feel like part of a family. The support I have received across the business is something i have never known from any other employer.
