Role is to lead a team of 50 employees across 2 hotels, ensuring full safety and compliance within each.
I have learnt to adapt my leadership skills, and how to think differently about situations. I have also learnt about motivating factors and that each individual is different
I really enjoy my programme, however it has been delivered remotely, which has been difficult. I believe face to face is far more engaging and I learn better
Programme is well organised, dates all set out and given in advance. It is well structured however i would have preferred face to face to return when Covid restrictions eased
I don't feel like I have been fully supported, this is partially due to COVID, however also changing managers several times and expectations of my job role changing.
I have a meeting once per month with my training provider, where we chat about any support required. I feel this could be better as most times our call doesn't last the time allocated. I would have liked to maybe go through some work, or receive feedback.
I feel it really pushes me to do better, makes me think differently and implement and challenge better
There are currently no extra curricular activities to attend at the moment
Yes
I have only ever worked with Whitbread. As an employer I believe they value and look after all employees. They provide opportunities that some employers wouldn't have the facilities to do, for example this apprenticeship programme
Be Open-Minded, Don't give up and always ask for help. Have a career/Journey plan in your head and Whitbread will always help you reach your goals
