  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • 10/10

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learned faster than I ever thought I could. Savills are great at throwing you into real projects as soon as you start, allowing you to feel like you are valuable from day 1. This also means you learn very quickly, sometimes without even realising it!

  • 10/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • A broad background in real estate is invaluable to my day-to-day role. I do struggle however as the qualification is commercially-focussed and my job role is in residential.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • So far I have attended numerous social and networking events as well as playing in netball and rounders tournaments.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Savills to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I love the culture and the social side of the industry. There is so much to get involved in and the extra-curricular activities are fantastic. I am also continually surprised and pleased by how much Savills value and invest in their graduates.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savills?
  • Do your research; know what you like about the industry, the company, and the role you are applying for. It sounds cliche, but absolutely just try to be yourself. Particularly if you reach an assessment centre/final interview. Savills already know you are smart enough - they now want to know what you will be like to work with, and whether they would want to spend time with you! I was once told that we spend more time with our colleagues than our loved ones - keeping this in mind reminds you why it is so important for Savills to hire amicable, sociable, and dependable people.
