Good support throughout my apprenticeship and learning on the job
Babington were shambles - no training was provided - given a login to an online learning portal and that was it. Actual industry training was supplied and organised by my employer. Went through 3 or 4 skills coaches as they all kept leaving and 1 ended up staying who was actually very supportive.
Employer super sportive - had my own apprenticeship mentor, supportive line manager Work was aligned to help my course progress and ability
My skills coach who actually stayed was supportive, but been through 3 or 4 during my apprenticeship. By the end of the course + final skills coach, communication was frequent and prompt so I had everything I needed to achieve the best grade. But this up until then it was poor. By the end it was more of a focus on how to get the best grade possible in the quickest amount of time rather than actually learning and training - due to the skills coaches leaving constantly and zero hands-on training/workshops.
None at all. Was given a login to a online portal and left to do my own thing - something that I would've learned if I done DM at sixth form or year 11. No workshops or hands-on professional training, this was all sorted by my employer. All my digital marketing knowledge and experience that is applicable to the real world was gained on-the-job at work and working with digital marketing agencies. Not a knock on my employer at all, super supportive and great role - Babington were at fault here.
Always lots going on in Computacenter but I am based in Reading and a lot of the events and socials are in Hatfield/Blackfriars
