As a maintenance I am responsible for smooth run of production equipment like robots, machines, etc. While production I am responsible for fixing any faults that appear and stops the production, when production is not running I am responsible for fixing any malfunctions that were noticed during production and could wait to be fixed when there is no production on and maintaining robots and the equipment.
I have a lot of interesting trainings. During that time I learnt plenty of new skills. I am able to participate in internal and external courses. I feel like I am given plenty of opportunities to learn and gain experience, especially in last two years. Now I am learning from other maintenance and that is happening in friendly and open atmosphere.
I have an amazing training advisor. I am surrounded by friendly and experienced people, but my training advisor is above and beyond. Now I am gathering experience and knowledge in work environment and this is happening in a very good atmosphere, thanks to that I am able to learn more. I do enjoy my apprenticeship. I met a lot of skilled and experienced people who are willing to share their knowledge with me.
I am getting all the training that I need to work and I am able to chose from provided trainings. I am getting a lot of support from every site (my training advisor, my maintenance team, my PLA's, my EPA supervisor). The program is well organised. I do not feel overloaded with studying.
Support from my Training Advisor is amazing. She can solve any problem in just a few minutes. It is a great change. I am getting a lot of support from every side. My team members are willing to help me and share their knowledge. My manager is easily accessible. My PLA's are very supportive. My EPA advisor is a great professional, he is very supportive and accessible. I feel like I am learning in an open, professional and friendly environment.
I cannot stress enough how much support I am getting from my tutors and advisors. They are easily accessible, friendly and professional. If I have any issue they are willing to support me a lot. As a foreigner sometimes I require some help with my English and I am always provided with help and support.
I think the program should be updated, because manufacturing now is more and more focused on robots, PLC, etc. Everything I have learnt so far is very helpful, but I think it should be updated to new manufacturing challenges. Hand fitting is useful but we do not use it on every day basic, what we use it PLC and robotics.
Company provide us with many evens we can participate. BMW is taking part in many charity events. If anyone is interested in taking part in social events, there are social events. The company encourage us to participate in volunteering. We have an easy access to the gym and sports activities.
Yes
I work in friendly environment. We are provided trainings and encouraged to take part in charity evens or volunteering. Pay is very good. We have a lot of benefits. Shift rotation is not my favourite part, but it is also not that bad. My job is very interesting and I have opportunities to develop.
Do not leave everything till dead line :-D Apart from that just do your best. Do not worry to ask questions and seek for help or advice. Try it instead of listening to people who failed and told you it is impossible. If you want to learn something go and ask, there is just a tiny chance you will be told 'no'. If you want to develop you will get a chance, just ask. If you will be told 'no', ask again. Your future is yours, so you are the one responsible for that.
